President and First Lady Income for 09 Reported

The President and first lady reported an income of $5,500,000 in 2009. A stark contrast from former President Bush and first lady Laura Bush's reported income of $719,274 in 2007.

The President and first lady paid an estimated $1.8 million in federal income tax. I guess that qualifies somewhere within the top 2% in America. They also reported donating $329,100 to a total of 40 charities. The $1.4 million Nobel Peace Prize donation was not included in his filed tax return.
